About
Lauren Ashley is an illustrator and designer, currently abroad in the UK. In 2011, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Graphic Design from the WVU College of Creative Arts. After a career in graphic design in the higher ed and advertising spaces, she's returned to her passion for illustration, creating traditional and digital work. She continued her illustration education through a mentorship in Visual Arts Passage. She has created illustration and design work for local restaurants, businesses and apparel companies.
Lauren works in pastels, colored (coloured) pencils and gouache, drawing inspiration from her natural surroundings. She has an interest in visual storytelling, exploring narrative and mood through expressive subjects and environments with color, light and texture experimentation.
When she’s not creating, you can find her lacing up her running shoes or exploring the Scottish countryside with her husband.
